These are counts in one KanjiVG snapshot. A count is not a rule of stroke order. The page makes no claim about meaning.

Cinnabar marks the strokes named in data-stroke-highlight. On an identical host that is every stroke of the stored entry. On the variant plate and the reordered plate it is the strokes whose letter-stripped type differs from the reference. A plate without that attribute is not recolored. Click a plate to replay. With reduced motion the finished character stays still, and the colors stay. The draw timings are unchanged. The plate stays cream in either theme.

How a cell is read

Question
Does a stored component keep one internal order in every host? The order is the letter-stripped kvg:type sequence of that component’s own strokes.
Element
A kvg:element that instances_of returns from at least two jōyō characters. An element in one character is counted in the census and is not a row of the four cells.
Occurrence
One return value of instances_of. It is not the character’s own outer group. Groups that carry kvg:part and share kvg:element and kvg:number are joined. A container whose strokes are exactly the strokes of two or more descendant copies of the same element is not an extra occurrence.
Reference
The element’s own main file when that file exists. Otherwise one chosen occurrence: the letter-stripped sequence with the most occurrences, and, in a tie, the earliest. Earliest means the smallest Gallery index, then the smallest first stroke number, then the sequence itself.
identical
The letter-stripped sequences are equal. A trailing letter does not leave this cell. ㇑ and ㇑a are the same shape here. This cell is the identical cell and the letter-suffix cell on Radicals standalone vs as components, added together.
reduced-form/variant
Not identical and not reordered, and one of these holds: a same-count type substitution, mixed slash, or shortened-or-merged slash, as on Radicals standalone vs as components; or kvg:partial; or a reduced form, kvg:original set and different from kvg:element, as on Reduced forms beside the original; or kvg:variant. Inside this cell those marks are exclusive subcells.
reordered
The same stroke count, and the letter-stripped types are the same multiset in a different order. A partial mark or a variant mark does not move this occurrence out of reordered.
other
Dropped strokes or added strokes that are not a partial, a reduced form, or a variant mark. The two subcells are dropped and added.
Uniform
Every occurrence of the element is identical. Variable means at least one occurrence is not.

Elements by the share that stay identical

Ten bins of identical ÷ occurrences. Bin i, for i from 0 through 8, is the half-open tenth [i/10, (i+1)/10). Bin 9 is [0.9, 1]. The ten bars add to the elements.
