Stroke order and stroke position
For each jōyō character, Kendall’s τ_b between the stroke order and where each stroke starts, or where its centroid sits.
These are counts in one KanjiVG snapshot. A correlation is not a rule of stroke order.
Click a plate to replay. As each stroke is drawn, the column gives its number in the order, then three position ranks: start-y, start-x, and centroid-y. Rank 1 is the smallest coordinate. The latest line is cinnabar. Earlier lines stay. With reduced motion the finished character stays still, and the column stays. A plate without the attribute draws no column. The draw timings are unchanged.
- The stroke number in the order
- Start-y rank. Rank 1 is the highest start, because SVG y grows downward.
- Start-x rank. Rank 1 is the leftmost start.
- Centroid-y rank. Rank 1 is the highest centroid.
