Stroke-order stability across variant files
For each of the 2,136 jōyō characters, how many KanjiVG variant files there are, and whether each file keeps the main file’s path count and kvg:type sequence.
Counts only. No conclusions are drawn from small groups. These are counts in one KanjiVG snapshot. A count is not a rule of stroke order, and it does not say what a character means.
The left plate is the main file. The right plate is the variant, and it has a cinnabar border. When a highlighted stroke has been drawn it stays cinnabar. Click a plate to replay. With reduced motion the finished character stays still, and the color stays. The mark is optional data-stroke-highlight. A plate without it is not recolored. The plate stays cream in either theme. The draw timings are unchanged.

How many variant files a character has
Each character is in one row. The rows add to 2,136. The row for 6 files is 0. The weighted sum of the rows is the variant files. Counts only. No conclusions are drawn from small groups.

Counts by suffix family
A family is the first token of the suffix. A character with files in two families is in both rows, so the character column is not the count of characters that have a variant file. On each row, the four classes add to the jōyō files. A family with no jōyō file is a row of zeros in the jōyō columns. Counts only. No conclusions are drawn from small groups.

Counts by suffix
One row is one suffix that occurs on at least one jōyō character. On each row, the four classes add to the jōyō files. The total row adds the columns. Counts only. No conclusions are drawn from small groups.

Suffixes with no jōyō file
Each row is a suffix in the snapshot with no jōyō file. The jōyō-file column is 0 on every row, and the four classes are 0. The snapshot column is not 0. Counts only. No conclusions are drawn from small groups.
