Each row is one character on the Gallery, in that list’s order until a heading is sorted. The character opens the Stroke player. Stroke count is the number of strokes in the KanjiVG file. Grade is the Gallery grade, except that a character named among the moves on Order by school grade is shown at the grade recorded there. Top-level valence is the number of slots, and depth is the nesting depth, only for a character named by a plate on the Valence atlas, on Valence at every depth, or on the grade page. Splits are the number of rows on the Leave-and-return atlas; a character that page does not list is 0. Closure distance is the distance on Closure distance, blank when that page has no row. Radical position, and whether the radical is written first or last, are filled only when Radical first, radical last names the character. Opening and ending are the first and last kvg:type on a stroke list stored by Openings and endings, the Stroke-type inventory, or the Stroke-direction atlas. A repeated component is a name stored on Repeated components. A blank in that column is not a zero: that page counts 275 characters, and its lists name fewer. This page does not calculate a new measure.

国. The frame opens, the inside is written, and the last stroke closes it. Open in the stroke player.

The table

Choose a heading to sort. Choose it again to reverse. Search keeps a row when the box contains its character. Grade keeps one grade.

How a cell is filled

Method. tools/profiles.py reads the data files already on this site and the main KanjiVG file for each character, and writes site/js/profiles-data.js. Stroke count is the number of strokes in the KanjiVG file. For these 11 characters the dictionary count in gallery-data.js differs: 葛, 賭, 謎, 牙, 餅, 衷, 餌, 稽, 僅, 遜, 遡. The starting grade comes from gallery-data.js. A character named in the moves of grades-data.js is shown at that recorded grade. Valence and depth are copied from a plate in valence-atlas-data.js, from a plate or the deep list in valence-depth-data.js, or from a plate in grades-data.js. The split count is the number of rows in leave-return-data.js. Closure distance is copied from closure-data.js when a row exists. Radical position, timing, and element are copied from a character radical-order-data.js names. Opening and ending are the first and last kvg:type on a stroke list stored in openings-data.js, stroke-types-data.js, or direction-data.js. A repeated component is a name stored in repeated-data.js. Where a file does not name the character, the cell is blank. Running the script again writes the same bytes.
