筆順 · the next stroke
How predictable is the next stroke
Given the stroke types written so far, how many distinct next types remain across the 2,136 jōyō characters.
Cinnabar marks the strokes already written. Indigo marks the stroke at which the plate’s caption says the sequence branches or becomes unique. Click a plate to replay. With reduced motion the finished character stays still, and the mark stays.

- Entropy
The mean counts each prefix once. Entropy weights each prefix by how many characters share it, and counts end as an outcome. Branching does not count end.

Sequences that never separate
Every shared full sequence
One row is one letter-stripped sequence shared by two or more jōyō characters. Listed means the same characters share one written kvg:type sequence on Order as meaning, letters kept. Letter means the written strings differ by a trailing letter, and they meet only after that letter is removed.
